Available Buildings

Over the years, the City of Sayre has acquired several buildings that were once thriving businesses but now sit vacant and in need of repair. As part of our new vision plan, we see these properties as opportunities for individuals or businesses looking for a fresh start in a small, welcoming community. Each building has its own history, and the City of Sayre is highly motivated to work with anyone interested in bringing new life to one of these properties. If one of these buildings sparks your interest, please contact Ted Lawson, City Manager, at 580-928-2260. Let’s talk about the possibilities!

Available Buildings Title

122 W. Main Street

Allison Building

Step right into a piece of Sayre history with limitless commercial potential! Located squarely at 122 West Main Street, this massive two-story, 15,000-square-foot warehouse offers an incredible blank canvas for your next big venture. Originally built in 1925 and updated in 1981, its C1 commercial zoning and sprawling layout make it an absolute dream for retail, a massive logistics hub, or a large-scale industrial operation. Whether you're looking to anchor a new business right in the heart of town or just need serious square footage with prime Main Street visibility, this property delivers the raw space and location to make it happen. This is a fixer upper and needs a lot of work.

203 N. 4th Street

Former Broomcorn Warehouse

With approximately 4000 square feet of space, this vacant warehouse’s greatest asset is its location. Situated on Route 66, just one block north of Main Street, the property offers strong potential as a Route 66 tourism destination. Whether transformed into a sports pub, restaurant, antique boutique mall, or another creative venture, it benefits from its proximity to the Shortgrass Country Museum complex, a popular stop for Route 66 travelers. While the property will need significant improvements to reach its full potential, the City of Sayre is eager to support a motivated buyer in bringing a new business opportunity to life.

220 E. Main Street

Former Crook Accounting Building

This vacant building offers a wide range of redevelopment possibilities. Built in 1923 as the Sayre Hotel, it is likely one of the most historic properties currently available in Sayre and has a rich local history. Located directly across from the Beckham County Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and attracts thousands of visitors and photographers each year, the building has strong potential as a tourism destination or possibly an industrial incubator serving several small business or nonprofit organizations. This building needs work but the city is motivated to support a buyer.

303 E. Main Street

Former Rural Electric Coop Offices & Warehouse

This building offers tremendous potential for a commercial business needing both office and manufacturing space. The property includes approximately 5000 square feet of building space and a large outdoor yard area. Although it will require significant improvements, it offers strong development potential for a wide range of business ventures. Located at the east end of Main Street, across from the Beckham County Courthouse and just one mile from Highway 152 and Interstate 40 intersection, the property is well positioned for future use. At the time the photo was taken, city workers were installing a new roof on the facility.
